Starline brass

I have been using starline brass for years and been very pleased with it. I can reload it many times before I have to anneal it. It’s great brass at any price range that you can find. Right now starline brass is hard to get so I was very happy to find it at grafs with the small primer,
My new favorite brass for .308

It's nearly impossible to find large rifle primers and I'm rapidly running out of the supply I have. But, since I have plenty of CCI No.41 primers, I bought some of Starline's small rifle .308 brass to try. Like all Starline brass that I've used, it strikes a great price-quality combination.
answer to no large primers

I shoot only offhand with 8 gr Tite Group and Berrys home moly bullets. Several hundred a week. Now I can buy small rifle primers everywhere so I can keep this life style going. Will be forming 50 to 243 Winchester. So now I have no need for large rifle primers. Supposedly you can charge this configuration of a case past SAMMI max pressure with no issues.
Starline SRP 308 win cases

More consistent in weight & length than Win or R-P cases . Good tough heavier cases that should rival LC in gas guns . I could see that they still require case prep . Like their pistol brass it needs at the very least chamfer / deburr & necks run over a mandrel prior to loading . I also bought the pricier Lapua & Alpha at same time , no Peterson in stock as I'd of bought them too . Plan testing / load developement for 2 rifles & will be interesting to see which brand comes out on top . Both interested in smaller spreads & increased life over large primer cases .

Starline makes good brass and bought small primer to see if any better loads can be developed.
Great brass as always with Starline.

Great brass, fast shipping. The small rifle primers work fine with single bass powder (all I have tried) I actually see a bit better SD. I shall stick with them.

I love Starline and have yet to have any problems with their brass. I currently load about 12 calibers and most of them are Starline. I wanted to test the use of small rifle primers in .308 due to the difficulty of obtaining Large currently, so I was quite thrilled to see that the loads stayed pretty consistent.
.308 brass for a gas gun

I am getting great results with small primer brass in my .260 so I tried these for my .308. The gun is early in testing but the brass seem to produce good groups. I pushed the pressure up on a few and the pockets stayed tight.
Very Consistent Brass

I purchased 200 of these for 600 yard F Class due to their lower price than other small rifle primer brass. 101 came in each bag, so after weighing all 202 I found even smaller deviation in weight than my data on Lapua. They were also all within .002 overall length, again very consistent to my surprise. So far I am seeing excellent groups and consistent velocities with CCI 450 primers and H4895 pushing the Sierra 155 Palma bullets. I've been using Starline pistol brass for years, but this is my first time using Starline rifle cases. I will definitely be looking to Starline for other rifle cases in the future.
Slight Velocity drop with CCI 450 compared to CCI200

On my 3rd firing of this brass. Ive gotten below quater inch groups in my 6.5CM with SRP brass from Starline so I decided to try it out for 308. I've noticed about a 25 to 35 fps drop using CCI 450 BUT with the 5 loads I tested using the SatterLee method I noticed lower SD and ES as well as a steady velocity curve as compared to LRP. This makes for an excellent reliable hunting/target round. I volume sort rather than weight and found 54.7gr average usable case volume with .05gr difference (Fire formed) cases. This is superb! I highly recommend giving this a try. You may loose a few fps but gain better SD's.
