43 Spanish

My review is similar to others. I purchased 20 count, loaded, and shot these in a Remington rolling block. Brass weight was about 240 gr compared to Bertram cases, which were about 180 gr. They worked out fine. The only issue I had was the variance in the rim thicknesses, which varied from about 0.065 to 0.080 in. My Bertram cases are about 0.077 +/- 0.001, for comparison. In addition to shell holder issues, rims on the 0.065 in. side of the batch showed some minor headspace issues—basically some primer protrusion after firing, consistent with extent of thinness. It’s not a big deal, though not great for accuracy, but I would have expected better quality control.

Hard to find brass cases for 43 Spanish rifles, should work with most of the variations. I'm loading it for a Remington Rolling Block that was originally sold to Argentina. Brass seems strong, overall length chambers correctly in my rifle. The rims are thick, and vary a bit from case to case, which requires a little fiddling to get them to fit the shell holder for my Lee Pacesetter 43 Spanish die set, but I eventually got everything to fit. Case heads are stamped 11.15x58R, Qual Cart.
