SIERRA 22 (.224) 53gr HP BULLET MATCHKING 500/bx
For rifles, the 53 grain #1400 bullet is of the conventional flat base design.
In handguns chambering cartridges in 22 caliber, the 53 grain #1400 MatchKing® bullets often deliver superior accuracy in target competition.
While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped Matchking® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. Although MatchKing® and Tipped Matchking® bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their design will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz or Varminter counterparts.
This is not loaded ammunition.

Makes an ordinary AR shoot like a benchrest gun.

I've been using "SMKs" for several years in a wide array of 22 caliber cartridges with excellent results: 220 Swift, 22-250 Rem, 221 Fireball, 222 Rem, 223 Rem, 22 BR, and lately 218 Bee. The flat-base design of the 53 gr bullet seems superior for my needs for short-range paper target shoots. Highly recommended.

Wasted a year and many reloading components trying to make bulk 55 gr bullets shoot accurately through my .223's, both bolt and AR15 platforms. After a year of frustration I spent a little more and have gotten great results with these Sierra 53 grain MatchKings. Grafs had the best price and can't beat the service (shipping).
