Product Information

Since its introduction in 2003, Barnes’ Triple-Shock X-Bullet has earned a reputation as “the perfect hunting bullet.” Now, Barnes has improved on perfection by adding a streamlined polymer tip. The new Tipped TSX features the same 100-percent copper body with multiple rings cut into the shank. It delivers the same gnat’s eyelash accuracy and “dead right there” performance—but with an added polymer tip that boosts BC and improves long-range ballistics. The tip and a re-engineered nose cavity provide even faster expansion. Complete penetration, virtually 100 percent weight retention and four razor-sharp cutting petals that doubles bullet diameter means the new Tipped TSX creates more internal damage than any competing bullet. Instant expansion and perfect penetration ensures cleaner, quicker kills.

This is not loaded ammunition.

Barnes ttsx hunting bullet

By Morgan G. on Sep 15, 2022
I have seen a few cup and core bullets fail. I have never seen a Barnes bullet fail. I’ve shot antelope with this bullet from 78 yards to 800 yards and I’ve never seen it fail to perform the way a premium bullet should. When I take this bullet in to the field it’s one less thing I have to be concerned about.

From a 7mm-08 fired into water filled gallon milk jugs in line, this bullet lodged in the back of the fifth jug and punctured the front of the sixth. 30" of water and 11 plies of the plastic, weight retention 100%.

Great lead free hunting bullet

By John A. on Aug 20, 2018
I've had generally good luck with Barnes all copper bullets in a number of different calibers. The solid copper construction has given me good accuracy, possibly because there is no eccentricity with multiple centers of mass such as may occur in a jacketed bullet where the centers of mass aren't in the same place due to slight variations in jacket diameter. The addition of a polymer tip adds even more uniformity to the bullet shape. These are more expensive than conventional jacketed bullets, but they're a must if you hunt in areas where lead is prohibited. They're worth the price, to me anyway.
