Due to the packaging and shipping process, case necks are often slightly dinged or bent and need to be rounded up and sized to give proper neck tension. New and/or fired cases must be full-length resized or have the expander ball of the sizing die run through the case neck prior to loading.

Product Information

With Hornady brass you’ll get more reloads, greater consistency, predictable performance and accuracy that commodity brass simply can’t deliver. We measure for consistent wall concentricity and we run our cases through pressure calibration tests to ensure uniform case expansion. And each and every case is hand inspected. New, unprimed brass. This is not loaded ammunition.

Note:  This is bagged bulk brass, not boxed.

Great For Cast Bullets

By Michael M. on Dec 30, 2020
This Hornady brass has thinner and softer necks than most brands. With jacketed bullets, this helps seat your bullets to a small runout. Since the bullets slide in easier. The softer neck springs back to grip the bullet more than a hard neck. IMO. Cast bullets press in easier reducing issues with the seating stem making dents in the bullets. I have 10 firings on the batch of 200 I purchased a few years back. They still look and measure good. Heaviest I've ever loaded them is to M2 ball spec. Most are shot through a 1903 Springfield with a then new Criterion barrel. Which ahs a snug chamber right on reamer spec. So no over working of the brass. I size with an RCBS X die which controls case length streatching. Anneal cases regularly on a little machine. People say you can get 20 fireings with the X die and care of your brass. Anyway, I'm ordering another 200 pieces to have on hand.

30-06 Brass, Good Brass

By Dennis M. on Jul 06, 2020
The brass I received was of good quality with no bad brass in the bag. It was cleaned and ready to size/deprime and get ready to load. I would buy it again and would recommend the purchase of this brass.

better velocity

By Stephen D. on Jun 03, 2020
I like this brass because I get better velocity and just as good accuracy as the more expensive heavier brass that has less volume

Great Brass

By Laval F. on May 30, 2020
This brass was consistent in length and weight. Every piece measured to within .002" of recommended trim length. As with all bulk brass it needed to be run through a sizing die to round out any case mouths that were not perfectly round due to shipping. Overall I would say, "great quality."

constance

this really is good brass for 30-06. primer pockets felt good and no issues with dents or anything. Only fired it once so we will see how the primer pockets hold up

Great Brass for Loading 30-06

By Loren W. on Oct 19, 2018
This is my second buy of Hornady brass in 30-06 caliber and I am very happy with the quality. The most recent buy included one extra cartridge case and that was needed to replace another found to have a severely indented shoulder area. Otherwise, the quality is excellent and I will buy more when available and as needed.
