Due to the packaging and shipping process, case necks are often slightly dinged or bent and need to be rounded up and sized to give proper neck tension. New and/or fired cases must be full-length resized or have the expander ball of the sizing die run through the case neck prior to loading.

Product Information

All 50 count listings of Peterson Cartridge casings come in one of their plastic ammo boxes.

Made in the U.S.A.

Remington hit a home run back in 1962 when they introduced their new Model 700 bolt action rifle, along with a brand-new belted magnum cartridge, the 7mm Remington Magnum.  It became an instant hit with big game hunters and shooters largely due to its versatility and longer barrel life compared to Winchester’s .264 Winchester Magnum.  Fifty-eight years later, the 7mm Remington Magnum remains among the top selling and most widely produced magnum rifle calibers.

Derek Peterson, President of Peterson Cartridge states, “We have been working on belted magnums for a while now, and with some lessons learned and a few tweaks, we released our .300 Win. Mag.  The 7mm Remington Mag. was logically next on our list.”  He continues, “We wanted to provide belted magnum shooters the same level of quality casings as the rest of our product line, and these are no exception. Give them a shot and let us know what you think.”

Warning: Only use Peterson Cartridge Co. casings in firearms in good condition, designed, marked, and chambered for this cartridge. Do not use Peterson Cartridge Co casings for “fire forming” or any other purpose other than what they were designed and tested for. Peterson retains no responsibility for the enclosed casings if they are used outside of the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Peterson 7MM brass

By Rick R. on Nov 28, 2023
Peterson brass quality is superior for reloading, reducing case prep time. The ammo box supplied with the brass protects cases from damage. I was glad to see Grafs had it in stock. Peterson brass is a little pricey....

7mm brass

All were perfect length, neck was not damaged and handled the test pressure well. All brass looked great after one firing

Extremely consistant

By Mike F. on Sep 28, 2023
I am very happy with this brass. It is definitely a step up from Winchester and Hornady. I measured 50 pieces at five different areas (OAL, neck, just behind shoulder, web, case head to shoulder) and all measurements were with in two thousandths except the OAL. The OAL length was + - three thousandths from 2.49. After this I purchased another 50 pieces.

Decent brass

I got a box of Peterson since their reputation seems pretty good and began loading for my 7 Rem Mag. Upon checking function I noticed I had some tough to chamber rounds. I checked the sizing and headspace measurements and all was good there. I then sharpied a few of the suspect pieces and noticed the belts were hitting pretty hard which made the chambering tough. I checked the rounds in two other 7 Rems and had the same results. Out of a box of 50 I had about 10-12 pieces that didn’t chamber nicely. I’ve since called Peterson about the brass but haven’t heard back from them yet. They seem like a great company but with brass this pricey you expect them to be ultra consistent. I would’ve chalked it up to my custom 7 Rem being too tight for them if I hadn’t checked the other pieces in factory guns.

simply the best

Peterson 7 mm Rem Mag brass

By Gregory A. on Jun 23, 2023
Peterson 7 mm Rem Mag brass is packaged in a plastic ammo box, very nice attention to detail. The brass itself is excellent quality. While working up a load with Peterson brass in my 7 mm Rem Mag I fired a group at 100 yards that measured .168 inches. Those results are only attainable with excellent components.

Consistent brass

By Michael K. on Jun 14, 2023
I’m using this brass in a .312 neck so I turned it all then weighted it, very consistent, only 2 not used. That’s good considering how many other brands I’ve tried and culled 30%.

Very well made brass, packaged perfectly

Best brass available.

By Ivan G. on Feb 06, 2023
Highly consistent in weight, easy to work, and the primer pockets hold their size after several warm loads. Peterson is at least on par with the high end European brass

Exceptional quality

This is very good quality brass in 7mm. Has held up well to multiple reloads in my tikka. Quality product from Grafs:

6mmCreedmoor, 7mm Rem Mag

By Abe M. on Jan 30, 2023
I have used Peterson over the last four years. It has been consistent from box to box. With Peterson my groups have been smaller and the number of times I can fire each piece of brass has increased. I always hand weigh my powder, bullets, and brass and this brass is consistent. I'll be coming back for more in the future.

Very consistent

By James A. K. on Jan 30, 2023
Prepping the neck pretty much unnecessary unless you have a tight necked rifle , brass was all very close in consistency in thickness , look forward to testing it , wish they made it in a long version like they do in .300 WM brass that would extend it service life by a lot , I’ve had good luck with all their brass in other caliber so far in achieving single digit SD , look for same results here !

Short brass

By Joe H. on Apr 20, 2021
I typically trim my cases to 2.492. The majority of the peterson brass that I purchased is 2.485-2.487. I've purchased many brands of brass and this is the first brass that I've purchased that the overall length is so short. My expectations were too high for this expensive "match grade brass".

Quality product

By Chad H. on Nov 27, 2020
This brand of brass is on par with the likes of Norma, Nosler, and Lapua. They come in a very nice container already annealed. It's Peterson's attention to detail that makes this brass what it is and they are always improving upon their products.

Top notch

By Joseph G. on Nov 25, 2020
First, I have to say that the packaging of this brass is phenomenal. It comes in a hard ammo box with no possibility of being damaged. The brass itself is also great. Lengths are uniform with no more than .001 variation. Weight and capacity also very consistent. Better than Lapua. Will be using Peterson brass for life.
