Due to the packaging and shipping process, case necks are often slightly dinged or bent and need to be rounded up and sized to give proper neck tension. New and/or fired cases must be full-length resized or have the expander ball of the sizing die run through the case neck prior to loading.

Product Information

340 Weatherby Brass

All 50 count listings of Peterson Cartridge casings come in one of their plastic ammo boxes.

Introduced in 1963 and based on the .300 H&H Magnum, the .340 Weatherby Mag outperforms the .300 Ultra Mag, .338 Win Mag, and rivals the .375 H&H. Its flatter shooting, harder hitting characteristics make it ideal for even the largest of North American big game and more than suitable for any excursion to the African Serengeti.

Made in the U.S.A.

Warning: Only use Peterson Cartridge Co. casings in firearms in good condition, designed, marked, and chambered for this cartridge. Do not use Peterson Cartridge Co casings for “fire forming” or any other purpose other than what they were designed and tested for. Peterson retains no responsibility for the enclosed casings if they are used outside of the manufacturer’s recommendations.

This is not loaded ammunition.

The shell holder box is worth a lot and the brass is perfect

Quality brass

I really like this brass. The consistency of weight, thickness and form is quite high. There's no skimping with these, as the brass weighed more than my Norma and Weatherby brass. Loading and firing the new brass resulted in consistent groups and velocities. As expected, loading and firing the fire-formed cases got even better. I would expect many reloads out of this brass, with proper care. I'm glad there's an alternative and available supply of quality 340 Weatherby brass on the market. Also, Graf's is a top-notch company!
