I’m having better luck with this bullet in both my Marlin and big bore 94 I’m using IMR30-31 powder
I was using a Lee mold that wasn’t a gas check
And was getting a lot of leading in the barrel

This bullet has been the "go to" bullet in anything with a bore that is in the .37-.378 family ever since Lyman designed it many, many years ago. I had one before but lapped it out to 380 to use in an old Marlin with an oversized bore. I have cast them soft to use in hunting with great success. Incidentally, soft or hard bullets will lead a bore that is not perfect. The hard lead is more difficult to remove. I have never had a bad Lyman mould and I have cast bullets since I was 13. My present age is 81+, so there are many hundreds of pounds of lead in my experience. They are sometimes slow to "break in", usually due to getting in a hurry and trying to short cut preparation of the blocks. Do your job right and Lyman moulds will give you more perfect bullets than any other brand I have tried.
