Fiocchi large pistol primers

I purchased these summer of last year, started using them a couple of months ago. I shoot them in a Kimber 1911, 10mm and a S&W Model 25, 45 Auto Rim. They load with no problem, no failures to fire and the primer cup holds up well under the heavy hit from the S&W, firing single action. Will be buying these again, good price and service from Grafs.

Very easy to seat and reliable ignition. I exclusively load these in .45 Auto rounds for target work with Hornady HAP 230 gr. bullets and W231 powder for amazing results.

Fiocchi Large Pistol Primers

After some data mining I came to the conclusion, like Winchester these are for magnum as well as standard pressure cartridges. I’ve tested them with both easy to ignite and slow burning spherical powders in .45 Colt and .41 Rem Mag with results that match my conclusion. The real test won’t be available until Winter and colder temperatures with the magnum ball powders. I expect fine results then too. As for seating, they remind me of CCI brand. Like the CCI, these require a bit more pressure when seating. They are snug, but not overly so. They ignite with lightened hammer springs and maintain their shape well in high pressure loads. The product seems very good, the packaging is another story. Both boxes I received appeared to have been opened, maybe for inspection? If this is the case I appreciate the inspection before shipping. The boxes are lightweight and not very durable. I had to tape both to keep the seams together. The smaller ones inside are as good as any other. Grafs shipping box was very sturdy and well packed. So far, I can recommend these to anyone looking for LPP. If using with a progressive that primes on the downstroke they will require a bit more umph to seat.
