45-70 Supersonic hammer

This fits the bill for a bullet that has a slightly better BC than a flat nose (though less than an FTX) with a bit more weight than the FTX. With IMR 4198 you can load this anywhere from mild to wild and given its design it will always handle itself well. For a general purpose higher velocity (supersonic) hunting load where penetration is important but terminal performance is the key factor, you won’t go wrong with this. They fly true and expand well. I load them a little warmer than usual for my single shot and always crimp into the cannelure well.

My go to bullet for 458. Good load, good price per bullet, can't beat it! Can't beat Grafs for in stock items either. This bullet keeps me shooting 458 by providing a bullet with terminal ballistics at a low price point.

Great bullets for keeping the .458 win mag up and running at a moderate price. Work great on thin skinned big game.

I shoot these in my 450 Alaskan Bolt Gun. I get very good accuracy (1.5 moa) at 100 yards.

I've been using these in a marlin 45/70 guide gun sence 2005. I've taken two moose and 5 whitetail deer over the years with them and they shoot excellent and get the job done great. I've had no problems with them. There all I'll run in my rifle as long as there available.

These bullets are outstanding. The cannelure provides for an excellent crimp and looks great. Loaded these in 458 Win Mag with reduced loads for hog hunting.

I have used Hornady and Sierra bullets for some time now since I started to reload in 1968. I find now that Hornady bullets fit my needs. I have never been disappointed. I have used 325g .458 bullets in my Trapdoors ,1886 and now I will load for my .458 Lott.
Hornady 350 Grain, .458 Round Nose Bullet

I shoot these primarily in the 45-70 for hunting Elk in the timber. However, they are tough enough that I can use them in the 458 Lott as well. Hornady rates them for 2900 FPS. As with all the Hornady bullets I have shot they are consistently accurate.
